Officially known as The Greater Northfield Senior Citizens, Inc., the Northfield Senior Center opened its doors at 168 Wall Street in June 1989. We are a 501 C 3 Non Profit Organization.
Our senior center was formed to provide comprehensive social, educational, nutritional, and recreational services to all senior residents of its service area. To provide opportunities for area residents to use their talents, experience and training to help themselves and to share their knowledge with others in order to enhance the lives of older persons to remain productive citizens of their community.
Our Service Area
Our service area includes the Washington County Towns of Northfield and Roxbury; the village of Riverton on the Town of Berlin; part of the Township of Brookfield and the Town of Williamstown in Orange County. We recognize that this area of Central Vermont is a scattered area and we will do everything we can to extend our services to senior citizens in and out of the area.
Our senior center building houses many events for seniors and the space is often used by local organizations in the community such as the Northfield Rotary Club, the VFW Post 6674, the Antique Tractor Club, Girl Scouts, and CERV - the local food shelf . If you or your organization is interested in using out space please email us at email@example.com or call us at 802-485-8112 to learn more.
